What can attendees expect:

You are cordially invited to participate in the Harvest Community Garden Event to help spread the word about the benefits of compost use.  Join local compost providers, organic farmers, community gardeners and agriculture giants in Okeechobee, FL to learn more about local compost products available and community garden trends.  Make connections with those in the industry through this learning/networking opportunity. 

 

During a facility tour attendees can also learn about the composting process utilized at Waste Management’s (WM) Okeechobee Organics Recycling Facility.  Following the tour and lunch (provided by Recycle Florida Today), participants will also have the opportunity to see the results of compost use through a visit to the Indiantown Organic Farm.


What is an ELLS?
The ELLS - Environmental Lunch and Learn Series, is a scheduled opportunity for individuals to gain education and information via a training/networking session, site or facility tour, on-site equipment demonstration, workshop, information session or structured teleconference.
